Jennifer Graebe

Jennifer Graebe has a nursing career spanning 27 years. As Senior Director of NCPD and Joint Accreditation programs at the American Nurses Credentialing Center, Jennifer is responsible for strategic operations and program expansion through identifying opportunities and creating relationships and partnerships. Jennifer has successfully expanded the accreditation program, developed new products, and managed a multimillion-dollar budget with a net positive income YOY. Jennifer was recently introduced into the American Academy of Nursing as a Fellow (FAAN), demonstrating her impact on workforce development, healthcare education, and the field of human trafficking. She is a senior advisor and researcher with the Global Strategic Operatives for the Eradication of Human Trafficking. She is Vice-chair for the Competency-Based Education Network Board of Directors (BOD), serving on the finance committee and governance committee chair. Jennifer is also BOD for the Academy for Forensic Nursing and past Chair of the Alliance Board of Director Nominating Committee, and she continues to serve as an advisor on board governance. Jennifer is a future Coldiron Fellow in The Coldiron Senior Nurse Executive Fellowship at Case Western Reserve University.  In addition, Jennifer is a part-time faculty at Capella University in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences and an adjunct faculty at the Villanova University M. Louise Fitzpatrick College of Nursing. Jennifer received her doctorate in public health from Capella University, her Master of Nursing in leadership and health systems management from Drexel University, and a baccalaureate in nursing from Villanova University, including a certificate in healthcare management, accounting, and economics from Johns Hopkins University. Jennifer is a published author and a seasoned presenter in the U.S. and internationally. Jennifer is a peer reviewer and lead associate editor for the Journal of Continuing Education. She has held leadership positions at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital as a Clinical Educator and Clinical Manager in the Emergency Department. She is a former board-certified clinical forensic nurse examiner. 


As treasurer, I aim to bring my strong business acumen to AFN, leveraging my budget management and business development expertise to drive strategic growth and operational efficiency. As a proven financial steward, I have consistently demonstrated my ability to manage and optimize million-dollar budgets, ensuring maximum return on investment and positive net income. My financial management and strategic planning skills will contribute significantly to our team's success at AFN to make strong financial decisions while allowing for risk to meet the membership needs of AFN best and ensure the organization's solvency.


In addition, I am eager to continue to bring my strong board and governance experience to the AFN BOD. This includes using my extensive professional network to bolster AFN's growth and reputation as a leader in forensic nursing.
