Join Dr. Rhone D'Errico as he describes strategies that healthcare providers can utilize to understand, assess for, treat, and prevent suicidality in diverse healthcare settings. The prevalence, epidemiology, and psychology of suicidality will be reviewed, including a discussion of suicide among selected high-risk populations, including individuals who identify as LGBQ, veterans, minorities, and health care professionals.
This Webinar will include approaches to training individuals in suicide awareness and prevention. Safety planning, documentation, and follow-up are discussed, and self-care for the health care provider will be reviewed. The goal of this activity is to empower health care providers to confidently understand and address suicide risk in their specific patient populations.
