Angie began her work as a forensic nurse in 1997. She established and managed the Forensic Nursing Department at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. In 2017, she accepted a position with the North Slope Borough Police Department as a Pediatric Forensic Nurse and help to establish their Child Advocacy Center. She is currently employed as a Forensic Nurse Examiner with Forensic Nursing Services of Providence and at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center as the coordinator for their Forensic Nursing
Department. She is contracted with ANDVSA as their Medical-Forensic expert, providing mentorship and training for forensic nurses and SART programs around the state.
For the last 20 years, Angie has trained throughout the state of Alaska and nationally. She holds her national certification as both a SANE-A and SANE-P. Angie is also part of the Alaska Strangulation Training team, currently sits on the Sexual Assault Kit Initiatives Work Group, and is part of the statewide SART training team.
