The Academy is honored to welcome the National Alliance for Drug Endangered Children!
Don't miss this opportunity to join your colleagues for this very special FREE AFN Webinar! Be sure to share this opportunity with your interprofessional colleagues.
The National Alliance for Drug Endangered Children (National DEC) exists to help make a difference in the lives of children who are living in dangerous drug environments. The DEC movement challenges all of us to recognize risks and to work together using the DEC Approach to protect children from neglect and abuse, which all too often occurs across generations. By working together and leveraging resources, we can provide drug endangered children opportunities to live in safe and nurturing environments free from abuse and neglect.
The purpose is to engage the audience by sharing the scope of work that the National Alliance for Drug Endangered Children (National DEC) does nationally, the scope of the problem being addressed, along with generational and community impacts. Then, Presenters will also share information regarding the partnership between the Academy of Forensic Nursing and National DEC, ways for participants to get involved, and encouragement to make connections to support children and families nationally.
Don't miss your opportunity to:
- Learn more about children and families impacted by legal or illegal substance misuse.
- Learn about the National DEC and the organization’s scope of work.
- Learn about the National DEC and AFN partnership.
- Learn about how you can get involved in DEC work by joining a local, tribal or state DEC Alliance.
