Dr. Jamie Lewis Saye is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at the Wellstar School of Nursing, Wellstar College of Health and Human Services, and serves as the Clinical Director at the Safety, Advocacy, Forensics, and Empowerment (SAFE) Center at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. She is a fervent advocate for women's and children's health, trauma-informed care, and the needs of underserved and vulnerable populations. Her extensive work in forensic nursing and evidence-based practice highlights her commitment to integrating clinical excellence with educational empowerment.
Saye's educational achievements include a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Augusta University and a Master’s in Nurse Midwifery from Emory University, equipping her with clinical expertise that spans primary, gynecological, and obstetric care. Her career as a Certified Nurse-Midwife has provided her with substantial experience in delivering comprehensive care to diverse populations.
Since 2014, Saye has been a dedicated Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE), specializing in both adult and pediatric forensic examinations since 2016. Her research efforts are focused on enhancing forensic medical examination techniques and improving screening for childhood adverse experiences among obstetric patients.
Saye is an active participant in numerous nursing organizations, and frequently presents at national and international conferences. Saye’s professional journey is defined by her dedication to education, community service, and the advancement of healthcare standards through rigorous, evidence-based practices.
